Default Grinding sound from AC Clutch and truck stalls without warning

I recently bought a 96 Ram 1500 and have noticed that once in a while my AC clutch makes a grinding noise when i first start it. Recently, the truck has been stalling without warning, typically when i am slowing down or stopping, and i don't know if these two problems are related. I know my stall problem is not the fuel pump because i replaced it a couple months ago when i bought it. What might be wrong and how can i fix it?
