Default 2001 dodge ram 1500 strut length

hey i have just bought a 2001 Dodge ram 1500. i took the struts out and dumped them (cuz of the rust) so i didn't get to measure them. What is the stock strut length? I just want to make sure there was no lift kit or something on there. I measured about 21" Sound correct? Thanks!

Is it 2wd or 4wd. There may be a difference. Either way, stock length will work with up to 2 inches of lift in the front at least.

On a side note, how did you pull the struts?? As far as I know, there all shocks.

Usually, if there is a lift you can tell by looking at the top of the front spring to see if there is a spacer. No spacer=no lift/level. Although there are lift springs, but from what I've seen/read, most (not all) people use spacers. On the rear, check the height of the block and the presence of an "ear" on the block (for bump stop). Stock is 3 inches.

Any more lift that a couple inches and you'll know. Drop pitman arm, extended control arms, additional block in rear or non-factory looking block, or additional leaves, etc.
