Default HOD headlights

I was looking to purchase some 9007 HOD headlight bulbs. Not HID. These are from china. i saw them at a swapmeat. i checked it out online and saw some mixed reviews, and was wondering if anyone has or is using them, and what you thought of them.

Never heard of them, but after a quick search and "trying" to read the broken english...I say pass on them. I've used Silver Star Ultras before and liked them. Just haven't gotten them for the Ram yet.

I cant even find them in Google! What are the chances that if one bulb goes out on these mystery lights, that youll be able to get a replacement?

I have 2 friends that have used them - GARBAGE. The light pattern is not as focused and all they end up doing is blinding oncoming traffic even when the brights are not on. This is 1 great example of getting what you pay for.

Tip #1039. Anything related to headlights that says made in China, ignore and walk away.

I'd pass on them. Im getting my HIDs from ddmtuning.com. very good sight. I've ordered a pair for my motorcycle and my car. If you want some brighter headlights I'd try this site out

bulb has nothing to do with focusing the light as long as the filiment is in the right position in the housing.... any bulb thats up to three times brighter than stock halogen will blind oncoming traffic if used in a housing designed only for halogen.... this has been covered here before many times in HID threads.... if your going to compare its important to bring this up since its not the bulbs fault...
And a large part of all name brand bulbs come from China too...its all in quality control. (even GE makes thier bulbs there now) no mercury laws and such to worry about.
I say just do your homework first.

Especially if they're being sold at a swapmeat.

I had never heard of them either. So I searched it too.

Way down deep buried in a tiny barely noticeable place they admit these are nothing but standard tungsten filament halogen bulbs. Ie exactly what these trucks came with from the factory.

If you are going to get some halogens, might as well get them from somewhere reputable unless these happen to be such a low cost it's worth gambling on them.

They also state the gases inside the bulb are different and that makes all the difference....high pressure sodium and metal halide bulbs are basically the same except the gases and one is much brighter and white/blue while the other is orange/yellow
