Use a Fel-Pro gasket(not cheap) and put a dab of rtv in the corners on both sides of the "U" front and back.

Thanks super Z. Still not getting to my full cellular.

Yes I have the FelPro grand poo bah gasket. However, does the dab go in either:

1. b/t gasket and block, or
2. b/t pan and gasket

Then is RTV also put along rest of perimeter?

Again, I got no clue. Haynes says put b/t pan/gasket. FSM just states in corners. I'm not putting it together.....as you can tell. lol

I look forward to another gracious response.

I just put it in the corners. No need to do the rest. Just make sure the surfaces are clean and that the oil pan around the bolt holes are flat. obviously. Button up the timing cover first, and save the oil pan for last.

Well shucks I missed the rtv part. Hopefully it won't leak again. But then again the process went too smooth for it all to have worked right lol
