1998 Dodge ram 1500 pickup sport
I just looked at a Dodge Ram 1500 pickup, extra cab, it looked a little small on the inside, could it be a Dakota?
Do they make Dakotas with 5.9L engines?
Did they make a Ram 1500 Sport pickup (full size)?

Didn't the truck have badges on it? [&:] It's not real hard to tell the two apart. But if you really can't, there's one easy way to tell. The Dakota's turn signal was amber in color, and it was below the headlight lens. It ran the entire width of the headlight. The lower bumper was also a lot different.
Yes they did make Dakotas with 5.9l motors. I know the RT had it standard, but I'm pretty sure it was an option for the rest as well. All ram models (1500/2500/3500) were available as sport models.
I guess if you really can't tell, look at the VIN number. The 5th character should be a C (if it's Ram 4x2) or a F (if it's Ram 4x4). The 6th character should be a 1 (if it's a 1500), 2 (if it's a 2500) or 3 (if it's a 3500).

Thanks for the info.
The turn signal is next to the headlight, not below it, and it's white with a yellow bulb. I guess that makes it a ram 1500.
Any experience with noise from the rear end? Possibly needs a bearing?
