I HAVE A 1999 QUAD CAB 1500, WITH A 360. I HAVE A 8,000 WINCH I WOULD LIKE TO MOUNT ON THE FRONT. THE UNIVERSAL MOUNTING BRACKET IF BOLTED TO THE FRAME WOULD BE TOO LOW. IS A BRUSH GUARD THE ANSWER???? PLS HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

what?? a front receiver hitch wont work for ya?? you need a big *** all new bumper most likly then..

 

yea, you gonna need a new bumper. I wouldnt trust a grill bar. what kind of winch do you have? if you just bought it, i would take it back dude. I 9,000 pound winch is nothing. Ive seen them failing to pull out a little aluminum jeep or a toyota. you need atleast like 12,000 pounds. you dont want to get stuck in the middle of no where and your winch burns out because it cant take the amount of strenght. it would be fine if you just get stuck in a rut but i would stay away from mud! just my to sence
