rough idle for approx 30 seconds

mine does the same thing but it's not on cold start. If I run at operating temp then shut if off, say to fill up or run into the grocery store, and start it up, i get the thirty second to a minute rough idle then it goes away. I was told the o2 sensor needs to heat up but why doesn't it do it first thing in the morning? it should be hot still after the 5-10 min sit. and i had it hooked up to a machine and it is actually missing in 5 and 7 during that time then it goes away. I checked wires and routing. everything is new, including the motor. new ntk o2 sensors also.

My truck used to surge at cold idle and run rough when warm. Changed out the coil and it was fixed. Also cleaned out the TB and IAC for the heck of it.
I'd suggest cleaning the TB + IAC first, then testing the throttle position sensor and coil. Also check around the intake for vacuum leaks. If your exhaust smells like gas and your O2's haven't been replaced in a while those are likely culprits as well. I had this problem and new O2's (NGK sensors) fixed that.

I'm having a similar problem in cold weather in my 96. It starts but when I start to drive it then it will die regularly unless I keep my foot lightly on the gas pedal. After its been running a while then it has no issues. Is that the 02 sensor acting up and making it run lean or is it something else like an IAC problem?
