Three years ago I bought a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 with 85,000 miles, at 100,000 I replaced the ball joints, truck now has 147,000 miles and I have had to replace the ball joints 3 times. Truck has not been off road or used hard, just normal every day use.

Moog even warrantied the ball joints but I doubt if they were defective twice.

Any one else had this problem? Or know of any re-calls or manufacture problems?

From what I've seen, Moog doesn't have the quality anymore. I went with XRF, but haven't had them in long.

 

I would check the rest of suspension as well. Make sure everything is tight, properly aligned. Defective parts two times does kind of exceed the odds. Were they installed properly?
