I took my 1999 ram 1500 4x4 truck to the protech this morning to have them check why the
abs and brack light came on and speedometer quit working.
the mechanic check the abs sensor it's ok
next he check the wiring no signal
then he checks the abs brain it's flat lined
the abs brain 385.00
with labor 485.00
the mechanic isn't sure why the check engine light is on he's hoping
the other brain box is just saying there trouble with the abs brain box won't know until tommorrow.

I had Similiar prob....bought a speed sensor at autozone today...wrong part....went to the dealer .got the right one .abs-speed sensor $45.for future referance that is a dealer only item...Disconnected the battery..installed it and everything is fine...guess I am Extremly lucky...I'm feelin for ya..that really really really S**ks..Wishin you the best...Good luck tommorrow..BILL
