Tensioner and Idler Pulleys
I have a bearing squeal/squek from the front of the engine, I think its the tensioner pulley. I already replaced the belt with a gatorback, just to eliminate the belt.
The Haynes manual doesn't explicitly state how to take the tensioner or idler pulley out. It looks like they both just unbolt from the block or tensioner assembly. Is this correct? Has anyone done this and have any helpful hints. I plan on doing both since pulleys seem to be about $30 each.

I think that i have the same problem, does it sound like something is rattling (best sound i can come up with) around the tensioner? I had my plenum gasket replaced and when it got it back it started to squeal on startup but only for a second or so. But does not do it all the time, usually only does it for a second or when it is not warmed up yet/sitting over night. Is this what yours does?

Kind of the rattle is a good way of describing the sound. Mine does it at idle, the minute I step on the gas the noise dies down, I hear it mostly when the engine is warmed up but just the other day it did it when it was cold.
If it's the same noise I'm having (only at idle), then it isn't your pulley...it's the tensioner unit itself. I already tried a pulley replacement, and it didn't help. The tensioner is worn to a point where the belt isn't straight when it's at idle. If you look down the line of the belt, and notice that it's a little crooked where the tensioner is, then you need to replace the whole unit. The one for my V10 runs around $85 from www.chryslerpartsdirect.com and comes with a pulley. IIRC, they all come with pullies.
