After Market Lights
They were the smoked out dual halo lights by spyder I think
isnt that what I have? Did you rewire the wiring harness before plugging the HID kit in?
You do know the dual halo ones like the ones I have all come wired incorrectly form china and you have to swap two wires around to get them to work correctly and put out the correct voltage to the bulbs?
You can tell if yours were wired wrong if the high beam indicator stays on when the low beams are on but is dimly lit... Also the highs and lows should operate independantly of each other and should never be on at the same time... Not correcting this has caused the lenses to melt on even non HID setups... If thats was your case I would go back to where you bought them and notify them that the lights were wired wrong and melted things... dont even mention the HID lights because they should be wired correctly and they are not from the factory and thats the cause... weak/ incorrect power to things like heaters and bulbs causes them to often run hotter and shortens thier life... even a fridge will burn up fast when ran off an improperly sized extension cord...
