Its time to have my 5 speed rebuilt. what do you thing get a local rebuild shop to do it or buy one from one of the online shop that say the have all tthe upgrade done to them. 99 ram 2500 with 130,00, frist rebuilt I pull a 8,000 pound rv about 5,000 mi a year. has any one had any good or bad experience with the online shops

 

I bought mine from www.man-trans.com, located in Tallahassee FL, got a good price. I am not positive but I think the upgrades have been done. I paid $1095 + $180 round trip shipping for a total of $1275. I have not installed it yet, so I cannot comment on how it feels, but I am happy with the price and service. The only issue I had was them taking longer than they said they would, since I ordered one of the light duty V8 versions.
