Swapping 1500 sport bumper onto a 2500 diesel?
I would like to install a urethane bumper from a 2000 1500 sport onto a 2000 2500 diesel (I have a complete sport bumper)... I have looked at other threads and some say the 2500 bumper mounting is different from a 1500 bumper? Wondering if there would be air flow problems as the sport seems to have smaller air inlets but I doubt that would be an issue, I have seen custom bumpers with no air inlets for that matter. I also read in old threads that say the 1500 sport grill dimenstions are different from the regular grill (extended, I read)? I did not measure yet but they seem the same (gonna put the 1500 sport grill on the 2500 also).... Can this work? Here are pics of the 1500 sport bumper and mounts.... Any help appreciated, thanks.

Hey guys thanks so much for the info, much appreciated. Nice truck there wermbang. The only thing different is my sport bumper does not have the cutouts for tow hooks like yours, unless that is something you did yourself. Cool lights too, they look like one piece into the flashers? Who makes those and are you happy with them? (adjustable?) gdstock: I just went and checked out the air inlets and true they really are more for looks than anything.
I just took out the "2 bulb" headlight setup out of the sport thinking I may convert my 2500 but it looks like too much work for what it accomplishes...

No mine had tow hooks from the factory. I like my headlights, got them from K2 motors, but eventually I will get a set of retrofit one from Retro Shop. To adjust mine have to use washers and shim it.
There is a wiring harness where it allows you to go 1 into 2, my lights came with the harness.
