Hopefully not, I never did get a chance this weekend to test it out. I'll know when I put her in 4x4 and mash on it I guess. So, after new shocks all around, front pads and rotors, and a rear main seal, and of course the clutch, the beast is running like sorta new. Next will be that edlebrock air gap intake I saw on the Hughes website followed by a whole new exhaust. I figured if I was going to fix that plenum problem I might as well go all out. Almost just bought it a few weeks ago, but figured I should take care of the clutch and the other essentials. Ya need to move, have a comfy ride, and be able stop I suppose before doing performance upgrades.

That sounds like a good plan. I have seen a number of threads where someone wants to do radical mods, and skimp or skip basic saftey related repairs. Makes no sense to me!

Lol, true, I used to be that guy. "Hey guys, how do I get more power, cheaply and fast, because I want the most results with the least amount of work and money???" My favorite was, "I'm getting bigger injectors to make more power!"

And most of the time freshening the vehicle back to good operating condition yields more performance increase than any "cheap bolt-on."

very true. I used to always want to go performance, performance, performance, but never even knew how to keep the thing running. I'm actually content with the power the truck makes, its light and a stick so it gets down pretty nice. When I get the cash I really want that intake manifold from Hughes.
