Default Gen 1 rear bumper...possible?

Hi All,

My rear bumper is rotting out and like many others finding a straight affordable rear bumper at the jink yards is impossible.

I did find a very nice diamond plate rear bumper off of a Gen 1 and am wondering if anyone on here has mounted a Gen 1 rear bumper on a Gen 2 truck? Is the width the same etc?

I do have a second set of brackets and braces from a Gen 2 bumper that I could use to fabricate a mount.

Thanks for any and all help.

Anything is possible, given the time, money, and knowledge. Will it go on and look right with minimal fab work? That I dont know. As far as width, measure your current one and the other and compare.

i would love to put a newer 2009-11 bumper on my truck, the ones with the provisions for dual exhaust found on the bighorn editions. doubt it would fit(newer trucks are wider) but it would be sweet!
