I definetly agree but my funds were limited at the time and my tires rubbed real bad and i didn't want to get new ones. I didn't get the rear bumper bracket and just left it where it was and custom cut a piece of diamond plate to hide the gap, and it looks awesome!

this is why i said get the 2in daystar, they run about 120 shipped from ebay and the are better then a body lift. and as far as the driveshafts being short, i thinks skyjacker make drive shaft spacers. check in pavement sucks, the will tell you exactly what you need

I'll have to give that a look thanks dude. I want to go 38's next and figured i would take my 3in suspension lift off and put a 5 on. You think that plus the body lift thats already on there will be plenty to clear 38x12.50's? my wheels are 16x10 Procomp xtreme Alloys.

that should be plenty of room, man the price for your tires is going to suck though

I have the 5" Skyjacker and the 2" Daystar leveling kit with no vibration or any problems.
Since this picture I put on a 3" body lift, only after looking closely at a dodge that had one on it.
You can barely see the frame and no gaps in the wheel wells.
I use a reciever hitch to tow my trailer so raising the rear bumper did not bother me.
No extra brackets, Just drilled new holes for bumper bolts.
I'm saving for a Buckstop winch bumper for the front. So again, no worries

38s went on easy, with the factory mudflaps still on.
Looking for some Radial 40s that I like.

If you go with the 38s ......better get gears first!

Oh boy, I'm just about to put my 3" body lift on [&:] I got it because it was cheap and I just want to be able to put some bigger tires on it. I only really use my truck for city driving and sometimes highway. My truck hits the dirt maybe once a year. I never knew they were so "crapy", but oh well. I don't beat my truck up really so I think I'll be fine.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I think 4:88s are the largest gears that are available for our corporate diff cases.

Good luck with your project.

I heard that 4:56's were the biggest that you could go in the stock 1500 carrier.
