Problem is I dn't see the relay current handling capacity. The relay needs to be able to handle more current then the fan can put out (edit: lol draw not put out lol) in rder to survive and last a long time. I suspect that biggazz mopar fan you bought draws some serious amps and so you need to verify the relay is rated to withstand it. Also it looks like that fan comes on at quite a low temp. I might bump it up a range so the damn thingg would shut off occasionally.

Edit: ops I see that controllar is the adjustable probe types. disregard what I said abut turnon temps. BTW I have ne of those adjustable probe ones on my Mustang. I wouldn't recomend buying one after owning it. I much prefer my setup now which uses a screw in probe that isn't adjustable.

Well I went ahead and ordered the $35 kit, and if I end up not liking it, oh well, at least it was cheap. The Jeep fan pulls about 25 amps according to what I have read.

I kept trying to tell myself the efan on the dodge is a waste of time but after living with it for a while it's undeniably better at low speeds. It I think your going to like it.

I think I will too. I just got back from driving the truck and I actually surprised myself when I got on it in 2nd. I have been very easy on it, with a new clutch and transmission, etc, so I havent had ANY fun in 2nd yet, and it seemed like it's running pretty good. Still need more time to break it in, but I am pretty excited about how this truck is coming along. Cant wait for 4.88's!!!

FWIW I've been running my Jeep fan with a standard 30amp automotive relay (controlled by Megasquirt) for 8ish months now without a problem.

I never posted what I ended up doing, so here it is.

19" Jeep fan - Part Number CBG4F250
Mounted with zipties in the stock shroud.

And this wiring kit: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HDA-3647/

I wish that I could separately adjust the shutoff temperature, as I don't want the truck to run over 200 degrees, but in the heat of Louisiana, with a 192 stat and my redneck shroud setup, the fan never shuts off once it turns on. I will do something different with the wiring someday, but in the meantime I have had no issues with it.
