PROJECT IS DONE!!! CHECK OUT THE PICS!!!!
My project is done. And I am pleased!!!!!!
Thought of this the other day out of the blue.
Need: basic tools, dremel tool.
Time: total approx 5 hrs. took my time messured 3times cut 1 once... took my a bit to actually learn to tear down the console completley to the vinyl and padding.... very easy actually... low low low risk of actual damage to the console... tears down easy...
Truck : 01 Ram Sport 4X4 OffRoad Reg Cab Short Bed.
What I Did.. flush mounted my dock to my MP3 player into the lid of my center console... this is my first ever upolster (spelling) project and I dont think I did to bad....if anyone is interested i got step by step (kinda) pics and I can detail the steps i took... and the mistakes that i learned during the project... not a major eye catcher but something that i really dont see less than the normal headfone jack lead and you just plug your "ipod" into.... also,,, my DJ (made by dell.. 30 gigs and runs 240 on sale.. the blue dispay runs well with my theme of my truck... blue blue blue!!!!) will be able to charge via the power cable that runs into the dock and to a power inverter...
Lemme know what you guys think!!!!

interestign idea, but, i think you should have made a 90 degree bracket so that it layed flat, rather than using the prongs to hold it up. Lay it flat and put a bumpstop above it, to keepit from flying out....
I just see it coming apart due to vibration like that...
