It's not all bad, but going from a mountain range to a swamp takes quite an adjustment... Also the culture of this specific town is not to my liking one bit. People in the surrounding rural areas I am sure would fit your description, but not so much the city folk here...

and yes its a 1/2 ton with an 8' plow!!

I would like to try to put a Fisher V plow on my Ram, but not sure if it can handle it. Need to find one and just put it on and see how it feels and go from there.

On craigslist by me (NE Ohio) there was a 1500 with a Boss 8 foot v-plow with the wings for sale. I didnt look at it but was thinking it may be too heavy.

I don't know alot about the Boss plow, but I would stay with Fisher. The mounts on my truck will work with a Fisher V plow or any other Fisher Plow

the wiring wont. v plows use different wiring then the straight blades.

and im prettty sure my truck and plow are worth about the same, or at least they will be once i get the rust on my doors fixed this year.

the only fisher v plow you could use is the 7.5 footer, unless you upgrade your front springs to diesel coils like i did.

my old 8' plow weighed more than my new plow, even with all the rust holes in it. my new plow weighs 717 on the nose!
