305/70/16's are about that... 285/75/16's are another common 33 that looks good on these trucks. I had both on my truck until last friday...

This is it with 305's out back, 285's up front, and no lift (2500's sit higher stock).

size breakdown

305 = width (in mm's)
70 = sidewall height... in this case, 70% of 305. So 213.5mm.
16 = .... never mind haha

75% of 285 = 213.75

So height wise they might as well be identical. but the 305 if wider. So if you are not worried about possible rubbing the 305's will look more aggressive. If you are going to be using stock wheels, go with the 285/75/16's, since they have a lot of backspacing and will be prone to rubbing on the control arms.

The is gonna come out harsh but I'm not going to sugarcoat it...

The problem is its the first step in a long string half assed ones to follow...

Frankly, That much lift done so cheaply just for the poser look is usually going to accompany every other possible half asses shortcut like not fixing the gears for the bigger tires or having the correct geometry on other important suspension parts either.... What you have then is a half assed sluggish slow underperforming truck with extra terrible gas mileage and extra stress on everything including a transmission turned into a time bomb.... The kind of truck that makes the rest of us look bad.. (I hope your not planning on using wood 2x4's in the rear as blocks too?)
If your not looking for offroad performance than dont lift it and enjoy all the benefits of NOT doing so the wrong way.... there's plenty of complaints here everyday from unsuspecting buyers of trucks built with the mindset of "all looks no sense engineering" approach...
just my 2 cents thou..
2.5 to 3 is the max you want to go withy spacers before so many other things NEED to be addressed that it just makes more sense to get a kit at that point to do it safetly...

Yea defiantly past that it was more of a curiosity question I thought it was rediculous to see spacers over 2 inches, and no Im not gonna have 2x4s for my blocks lol its not my first rodeo. Thanks for your help 2x1972 I haven't dealt with metric sizes in the past and any idea how much back spacing are on those chrome cragars?

I'm pretty sure they are 16x8's with 4" backspacing, but I have never measured them. BTW they are still on the truck, just refreshed with some nice "semi-flat" black Krylon
