The swap could be (read has been) done in a day with simple tools, a tranny jack, and a donor truck.

Not sure if I would have to cut the floor or the firewall but if I did that would be the hard part. When I was 16 I had to swap a trans out. I went to one buddies shop and picked up the rebuilt trans that was free. Then went to another buddies shop to swap the tans out. But he worked on big truck so there was no lift or trans jack. I put the car on stands and dropped the trans by hand onto myself. Wheeled the creeper out put down one trans picked up the other and went back under. Lifted it into place and bolted it up all by myself. They sat around and drank beer. But I got the trans free if I could swap them out without any help. I love it when someone tells me something can't be done.

The floor will need to be cut. Shifter will come through floor. But should be able to rent a plasma cutter....unless you live in a one horse town that rolls up before dark like I do......You could also cut with grinder if you cannot get a hold of a plasma. That should be the easy part. Cutting it in the correct location........well......measure twice - cut once....(easier said than done - I know!)

2" leveling kit. I did have to snip the bottom of the fender just a little.

I will hit the plastic fender with my heat gun and see if I can push it back where it rubs. I like the look. I have only worked with leaf springs before. After getting in there I am not happy at all with the flex. I will put in an 8" lift with long arms. The bumper has got to go.
