About six months ago i purchased a '95 1500 4x4, 5.9L magnum V8, and an automatic transmission. The transmission recently started giving me issues, after taking it to a mechanic we discovered the cause is cooling lines were not re-attached after removal and reinstallation by the previous owner. So we know the cause but not everything that was damaged. I want to know if its possible to replace the automatic transmission with a manual, seeing as I've always been a manual kind of guy.

 

Its been done before.. Did you try searching about it? There's a build thread in the Dakota section on a 5-speed swap. Most of the same stuff applies to the ram. Search for the thread in the dakota section.
