Angry 1994 Dodge Ram Electrical Issues

My truck stopped cranking. Thought battery was dead. Replaced it. Still barely cranks. Changed the starter out. Thought that would do the trick...nope. Ugly negative cable head, replaced the lead head. Still cranks slow and barely turns over. Had the system checked. Starter, Alternator and Battery working correctly. Positive cable head (factory) shows a lot of corrosion around wires and in head. Was gonna replace this, thought that could be problem??? Maybe. Where can I find a positive cable with correct 2 lead starter hookup for a reasonable price? Heelllp!!!

Scrub off the corrosion and try starting would be the first and most simple thing to do.

Testing fuel pressure is the next step. Should be about 49PSI and the pressure should let out very slow when the key is turned off.

Depending on how ba the corrosion is you may need to replace whole cable. Ran into this problem on my 94 ram and my 01 bug just last week. Ground cable tested good fir continuity with a volt meter but it wasnt supplying the amperage needes for a fast enough crank to start.

Ohm testing wires is never a reliable test. If one strand is connected, you'll have continuity...but that will not handle the amperage.

+1 to what QuadCabLuv posted. If the corrosion is really bad inside the insulation, you may have to replace the whole cable. Voltage drop test both the positive and ground wires.
