crankcase breather

I have a 1999 Ram w/ a 318. How do you remove the breather that is located on the driver side valve cover?? the nipple that connects the hose is broke on mine. It seems like the breather does not want to budge. Are you suppose to pull it or are ther tabs on it to twist it out??????????
