Default New guy, power widow question

Hi all, I have searched your forum before, and registered tonight to ask you experts a question. Hope it isn't too long winded, and I used search, but the posts were about aftermarket power windows, not my situation as follows:
I am replacing a damaged passenger side door on my 98 Dodge ram 1500, with one from a salvage yard. My truck has manual windows and locks, and the door from the salvage yard has a power window/lock. Is there a way to splice into, or power the window with my trucks current wiring? I cut the pigtail off of the donor truck that plugged into the door. Can I power this some way to get the power window to work? Or am I just going to have to swap out the manual window regulator from the old door into the donor door?
Thanks, Dan

I just switched out the power window regulator with the manual/crank one from the old door. I found a video on youtube that explained it. It wasn't as hard as I thought is would be, I've had a heck of a time working on these with other cars in the past. That is why I was interested in just hooking up the electric window. Anyway, it is working great now.

That's good. As far as I know, most manufacturers used the same bolt pattern on manual and electric to keep production costs down. It is the wiring that changes.
