+1 for the external transmission cooler, makes the radiator job take less than an hour. No special tools needed, just some new hose clamps because the stock ones are a PITA to get back on.

Maybe a faulty cap. My friends car did this last week. Leaked ans spewed real bad once then not again all week. Replaced cap and hasnt happend again.
