need help with 4x4
ok so i have a 1999 dodge ram 1500 4x4, 5.2, automatic, , singel cab short bed.
so i found out my 4x4 wasnt engaging... ive done alot of testing, and...
i narrowed it down to the vacuum switch ontop of the transfer case not letting any vacuum through to the front CAD.
by bypassing the 4 port vacuum switch, and manualy connecting the vacuum hose to the red or black hoses, i can engage or disengage the front axle, and my 4x4 works this way....
so i figured it was the 4 port vacuum switch, so i replaced it with a new one...
but im still not getting any vacuum through the switch? wtf im pretty sure i dont have any vacuum leaks around the rubber block thing that sits ontop of the vacuum switch... could it be somethen internal in the transfercase not engaging the switch itself?

nevermind guys, i foudn the problem, the rubber block for the vacuum lines that sits ontop of the vacuum switch was leaking air, and so i jsut removed it and connected the vacuum lines directly to the switch, and it works great now!
