Both of my trucks had broken oil caps when i bought them, looked exactly the same. Kinda threw me for a loop for a min when i stumbled across it the first time. lol

I totally thought this was gonna be a plenum thread. i work parts for a living and have helped a few people with this problem. take a basic set of pliers (smaller helps) and undo the center bolt holding them together. flip one side around so the claws grab outward and re attatch the bolt so you have reverse gripped pliers. think of it like a set of interchangeable snap ring pliers. now it takes both hands but place the claws to the very bottom inside the bottom part of cap remaining in the valve cover. use some elbow greasr to put pressure to push the claws closer to the walls of the hollowed cap. and steadily turn it counter clockwise with still maintaining outward pressure. next you know it pops right out.
