replcaing IAC motor
is there a video or step by step on how to replace the IAC
my truck runs great doesnt stall at all i did have the IAC replaced in december ,7,000 miles agoe
when i got to warm it up it feels like its gonna stall,i hear a hiising sound from throttle and IAC location,last about a 1 minute and a half
then it goes away and idles and runs great.
so is there a step by step on how to replace the IAC or clean it.
im selling my dodge ram 1500 4x4 short bed has 77,000 miles

Make sure the gasket between the air filter housing and the TB is there/intact.
Spray carb cleaner around the intake for vacuum leaks.

and do i use carb cleaning or thorttle body cleaning..
wheni hook everything back up ,when i put the key in the ignition do i turn it but not all the way and wait afew seconds befor i start the engine

disconnect neg battery cable.
remove air filter box.
gently unplug the elec connector from IAC,
remove 2 #25 torx head bolts
pull out old iac. note o-ring.
clean the pintle well in the iac, including center hole. poke it out with small screwdriver.
no need to remove throttle body from the engine. thats a waste of time.
do not push, pull, or twist the pintle on the new iac. you will break it.
install new o-ring on iac.
seat it into the well.
reinstall bolts.
reinstall elec plug.
reset pcm by turning on headlights for 30 sec.
leave air filter off for a test.
reconnect battery.
reset pcm by turning on headlights for 30 sec.
restart engine. cold idle should be 700-1000 and steady.
let engine warm up. idle should slowly drop to around 600.
you might get a little herky jerky change in idle as pintle moves, but not much.
if ok, turn off engine. reinstall air filter. make sure you have the elusive gasket between TB and air filter. if not buy a new one at any parts store for $2.
save your old iac and write down how it acted. put the IAC and note into a zip lock bag and save it. its good to have a spare, even if not perfect.
