The tach in my father's 98 quit this morning... I'm heading to the shop to look at it, but I have no idea what could cause just the tach to stop working other than a faulty cluster or connection.

I did just install a new dash and bezel cover last Friday and cleaned the dust out from the gauges, however I was gentle with the needles, and the tach has worked fine since then.

Any ideas?
