Top shock nut

Well I rednecked it. I got some mule tape (Flat rope used for pulling cables underground) wrapped it about four times around the shock through the upper shock mount and then wove the tape through the spring so my son could hold it. Then I could could get the nut off. Of course I PB Blastered it when I first started.

could've just taken the shock and shock tower out together and then loosen the nut. it was easy when I did it that way. Nice spring compressor btw wish i could've had one of those when I put my spacers in haha

^good suggestion on removing the tower first. you have to remove it anyway, so its no loss.

too late now, but if you can get to the top of the top shock cone, there's a nut there.

Not on the driver's side. The master cylinder, all the ABS stuff and wires are in the way. The instructions said to start with the driver's side but the passenger side is easier to see what was going on. If I would have started with the driver's side the neighbors would have called the cops because they would have thought there was a fight going on

Yes there is a nut under the tower. I will post a picture on getting to it easily.

I have no problem getting a wrench right there...ive done the fronts twice on my 4x4 and once on my buddies 4x2...
