Change fluid , adjust band, clean gov solenoid while pan is off. You might get lucky who knows. If it works , delete check valve, install tranny cooler and tranny temp gauge.

So from a cold start I pretty much have no reverse, put it in "R" and it's just like putting it in Neutral.

I have a little after it's warmed up.

Question I have, if 1st and Reverse are on the same band, rear, and 1st is working perfectly, is there any reason to think a band adjustment will help, or am I missing something?

Alright guys, today was the big day. Dropped the transmission pan and here's what I found:

And the real kicker:

Is a band adjustment going to fix this or am I in for a rebuild?

You are in for a rebuild regardless eventually. I'd adjust the bands and hope to get some more miles out of it. Fluid and debris looks pretty normal depending on how long ago the tranny was serviced.

Ok. Transmission was originally rebuilt around 3 years ago, the previous owner had it rebuilt.

There's one in town, private seller, same thing as mine, 2 tone white with greyish bottom, only, it would appear to be an Off Road Edition But I haven't stopped to look hard enough to confirm.
