looking to replace my cat back system on my 2000 ram 1500 sport 5.9 , its a flowmaster dont know how old it is but its rotted and starting to fall apart . Wondering what some of you guys on here are running and how you like it sound/looks ?

 

2001 1500 5.2L. Have a Flowmaster Super 44 and gutted cat with stock piping. Sounded good at first, but now it just annoys the hell out of me. I'll be going quieter with a highflow cat when this one rots out.

As far as recommendations, if you like the sound of it now just replace it with what you have now.

Youtube is a good place to listen to sound clips of different exhaust set-ups. Its not exact but will give you an idea.

I have flowmastee 10 and high flow cats are easy to replace and inexspensive for the 00 and up .

 

I really like my magnaflow set up. New Y-pipe and high flow cat, 3" single from the cat back with a flow through muffler.
