My question: anyone know roughly how many or a percentage of engine hp the ac uses when on?

My truck has plenty of giddy up but is a dog with the ac on.

My rpms stay lower too...

Just ran to the store and took note.. I have no change in rpm(625ish) with air on full blast at idle and no noticeable change in giddy up. My conclusion is very little loss,although, I probably use more fuel like in the winter letting it idle more at stops along the way. Someone who knows more than me may have an explanation for your symptoms, tho.
