Default noise

2000 ram 1500 360 has a clicking noise from the engine compartment, and usually happens when going up hill. is it the lifters? is there a loose valve? please help me find the problem so I can fix it. also, it is not constant only about 60-70% of the time

For future reference don't post multiple topics at the same time, even if they are on different subjects.

If the clicking noise is more of "tick" and happens going up a hill, I would bet it is the oil pickup tube. The stock one has this stupid cover on it and a really small hole to suck up oil. Just drop the pan and the oil pump and pickup tube is right there. Only two bolts to get the pump off. Replace the pump while you're there.
