Default 2000 ram 1500 question

I have a 200 Ram 1500 5.9L with a bad transmission and good engine.

I also have a Ram 1500 3.72L V6 with a good tranny and bad engine.

Is it possible to get one of these trucks working?

What is "bad" about the trans?
What is "bad" about the engine?
If you fix the "bad" then yes, you can get the trucks to work...

The 5.9 truck is going to have a 46RE in it and the V6 truck will have a 44R? need to know the year as to weather it is a RH or RE I don't know if the Bellhousings are the same or not I would assume they are, but I'm not sure how well a 44RH/RE would hold up to a 5.9.

He said its a 2000 so it would have 46re....and the v6 had 42re if i remember correctly

And the 46re hardly holds up as it is...throwin a 42re at a 5.9...it would eat the tranny right up

yeah I have a 46RE with a 5.2 and I've had issues with that I wouldn't put the lighter trans behind the 5.9 to bad things aren't the other way around a 46RE would hold up to a 3.9 really well

I was kidding in my first post. 3.72 ? And he does NOT say what year the 1500 with the v6 in it is. Either way, I think its a 42re which will last about about a week behind a 360 and most likely 3:55 gears.
