Exhaist manifold rust

The exhaust manifold on my 1998 5.9L is rusting. It looks like it will rust thru at some point. Is there anyway to slow down the rust?

Picture is attached. Is this a common problem?

They are made of cast iron and pretty thick. It takes a long time in adverse conditions to eat through. The oxidation actually slows down as it gets coated with rust. Perfectly normal.

you could start spaying the nuts and bolts with penetrating oil and tapping on the bolt head with a hammer. then eventually you could replace them.

My passenger side manifold is actually starting to fall off its rusted so bad. The bolts are pretty much non-existent. Just need some free time to pop the headers sitting in my barn on...Yours look in decent shape.
