Default Possible Vacuum Leak

Alright so me and my wife were headed home and I gunned it to make a light. Heard what sounded like a balloon deflating under WOT. Thought oh **** trans problem so I put her in neutral and revved it up a little heard it again and felt a sigh of relief. My wife then says "probably a leak". Instantly I finally made a few connections. Between that noise, my rpm's occasionally surging and the vents moving under acceleration. So I'm thinking vacuum leak. Everyone agree or any other suggestions?

After checking all the vac line under the hood including the rubber caps that cover the unused vac ports on the sides of the intake, be sure to check the vac reservoir under the wiper cowl as it's plastic and has been known to crack.

Don't forget to check the little check valves also. And the two plastic lines that run through the firewall.

Occasional surging could also be TPS sensor, along with bad check valves in vac lines.

Alot of time people confuse the sound of the air going through an open/closed IAC as a vacuum leak.. same for the power steering pump when the cap is leaking..

It's more audiobal with a 14x? or a 10X? Open Air Filter too.. but can be heard with the stock Air hat. Just through it out there just in case what you heard is nothing.

My vac lines were so weak going into the firewall I could break them by pinching in between my index finger and thumb... I'm gonna have to redo most of it while the engine bay is empty
