Computer and programnming
Well if anyone remembers me I have had quite a number of problems with my 95 1500 truck. It had a blown plenum gasket, warped intake manifold, PCM was fried, etc. I bought a working PCM online, then replaced the intake manifold with the hughes setup.. I have pretty much replaced everything on the truck now.-lol. Being that the hughes intake doesnt have provisions for the EGR valve, I specifically told the company I wanted the pcm to be non EGR valve. I also told them standard tranny. So the first computer they send me was for an automatic, and flashed error codes. I called thenm and they sent a replacement computer. Well this time they had the tranny right. But, even though the pcm had a label on it saying non egr, as soon as I plugged it in it flashed a code for non working egr valve. So I put up with that for now. This was last september. It also said the camshaft sensor in the distributer was faulty. I replaced that, unplugged the negative on battery to reset the computer codes. Then I still get the egr valve problem, but now I get code 27 which says its the fault in fuel injector circuit. I replaced the fuel injectors, the wiring to the fuel injectors, and now the connectors, and I STILL get this code 27!!! GRRRRR. I have unplugged the negative cable to reset several thousand times now, but almost as soon as I start the truck code 27 sets off again.
Can it be that maybe the computer is screwed and it just needs reflashed after going through so many troubles??
