Default front trans seal leaking

i have a 95 ram 2500 V10 and the front seal on the trans is leaking pretty bad. it took like 2 quarts of fluid to get it home which was about 2 miles. i have an idea that the bearing went out to which is making it leak fluid bad. how big of a job is it to change the bearing and seal? im assuming most of the hard stuff is just getting the trans out which isnt a real problem. im pretty good at doing my own mechanical work so thats not too big of a deal.

of course the haynes manuals say take it to a transmission shop and thats not even in the plans after i got told by one shop itd be $500 if it was just the seal. the auto parts stores are idiots to they told me to go get the part # for the dodge automatic trans rebuild book on the internet and theyd order it. if i had the time to wait for a book to come in the mail id order it off the net myself.
