Default Converting crank windows to power?

Hey guys, new here. Well I've got a 98 ram with crank windows and a 95 with working power windows and locks that is sitting in my backyard for parts. Now my question is what should I expect if I were to take the doors off the donor truck and swap them? I was looking at my truck with crank windows and correct me if I am wrong but the truck seems to have the wiring for the widows and locks in the main harness and the fuse panel has slots for power locks and windows. So what should I expect? Thanks guys.

If it has the harness for them, it might be worth trying. However, you'll have to strip out all the slides and mechanism used for raising/lowering the windows because pretty much nothing, except mounting points, will be the same between the manual and power windows. So, plan on going to a wrecking yard and take a TON of pictures before dismantling the donor door parts. Secondly, even when simply replacing PW parts on an existing system, it can be difficult to get the alignment right. It's one of the reasons you see many with the glass hanging off the frames and ****-eyed in the window. It will be tedious and difficult, but it is not brain surgery. No reason not to, if you have a lot of time and patience. However, if I were you, I'd wait until spring. If you have trouble realigning the thing, you could get frostbite from an ill-fitting window.

Thanks for the reply. I plan on painting the donor truck doors as they are near mint and just putting them on my 98 so that solves the dismantling problem. No dismantling should be necessary. I am more worried about wiring issues than anything. And yea, i plan to have everything ready in the spring and do a weekend swap.

So you are saying it is possible and I am not crazy that some trucks came with the harness even though it didn't come with the power and locks? Thanks again.

IIRC, you'll have to change the CTM and of lot of other in cab wiring.
