A tax refund is you overpaying the feds and them giving it back to you. An interest free loan from you. Change your withholding so you can buy a muffler.

what do you mean by change my withholding

Change your w-2 form to shoe the correct amount of withholdings and they will take less taxes out if your check. You will get less or none back at tax time but you will get more all year long
