okay..strangest situation, hopefully someone can help me:

I do have the syptoms of a faulty TPS (high rev's in neutral, reving up in cruisecontrol by rhoughly 2000 rpm, getting worse by higher rev's) but I dont have a TPS???

I have a Dodge Ram with a 5.9L GM, apparently I have a cable and not TPS.

Cheers

1) Are you saying you have a Chevy (or other GM) motor in your dodge?

2) The cable is connected from the gas pedal to the throttle body. It opens and closes the butterfies. The TPS is a sensor the tells the computer how far open the butterflies on the TB (or carb) are open.

I think he means "Gas Motor"
Since there IS a 5.9L DIESEL, aka Cummins....

Either way, the info suck's! If "GM" means gas motor, then there is most certainly a TPS, and the cable is the TV cable for shifting. Sure would be great if people would add ALL the info about their rides to the sig AND profile if they post from a phone.
