Default Installing cruise project

Ok so I have a 98, which I love, but it does not have cruise, which I do not love on long trips. I'm planning to install cruise on it. The only donor truck with cruise I have is a 95 but, correct me if I am wrong, I do not think it will work because of the 3 year difference. There is a local wrecking yard so my questions are: what years will fit and what is all involved? I can't see it being as easy as changing the column and splicing the wires into the harness and adding a few things here and there. I don't care how big of a project it is, I've done bigger projects. Also looking into after market kits. Thanks guys.

Edit: as far as I can tell, most of the wiring is already in the harness and the fuse panel is prewired for it as well

i don't think you will have to change steering columns to install cruise. i think you will just have to swap the parts over. i even think you will be able to use the servo and cable off the 95 but you my have splice some wires since they don't look like they have the same connectors.
here is the cruise control wiring diagram for 98
