My 2001 has a NP241DHD transfer case in it?????
Yupp, just as my title says. My 2001 Ram 2500 has a NP241DHd transfer case. Isn't it suppose to be a NV241HD??
From what I can find the NP was in the 94-97 ram 2500 and 3500's. The Shift patterns are different so the stock linkage wouldn't have worked??
Whats going on here? This its been change before I got it and why??
I need to either rebuild or replace and if so, I should replace with the NP just to save myself any headaches correct?

My buddy has the same tcase good luck finding one cheap haha if I remember right he found out you could use a 1500 tcase to save some cash the gas motors have the same size spline and input shaft I think don't quote me but I think that's what he told me
BTW Nice truck HDRAMman!
yeah, I have to replace or rebuild.
Don't really want to put a 241 DLD out of a 1500 in it as the 2500 and the DHD go hand in hand.
I found a rebuild kit from Yukon (at summit racing) for around $140. How hard should this be to do el solo? Never done one before?

1500's use a 231 not a 241.
Being 2500 doesn't mean it has DHD. I have DLD on mine even though it has a Cummins on it. DHD was an option on 2500, and on 3500 models it became standard on '98.
