Default P1740 and Transmission Leak...connection?

Hey forum! Ive been searching through threads and having no luck finding out if there is any connection between my P1740 code and the leak coming from the front of my transission

The leak is coming from the front of the trans down the bellhousing. Sometimes its just a few drops and other times its a large puddle.

I changed the fluid/filter and had the light reset. Nothing out of the ordinary during the change (burnt fluid, metal flakes, etc...). The light came back on shortly there after. I then had the fluid and filter changed again along with a band adjustment...still with the light.

I understand the P1740 could be a pandoras box of problems but does the leak help narrow down any of the possible causes? If this turns out to be a bigger problem then I can handle, can anyone reccommend a reputable transmission shop in the Boston area? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks dodge forum members!

I'm no transmission expert, but, leaking where you say it is and burnt fluid means tranny rebuild time as far as I know.

Probably not related. Burned fluid....rebuild time as stated.

Leak from front inside bell housing...overfilled tranny.
