I used Royal Purple in my NV3500 from MansTrans. Works great.

safrantz, Glad it works for you in your NV3500... Just to be clear for all readers, the NV3500 and NV4500 use different lubricants due to the synchroizers in the NV4500 needing the older GL4 API spec lubricant to prevent softening by the extreme pressure additives in GL5 spec oils.

Update for all you guys... I got sent the WRONG transmission.. Now how could that happen??? Well anyways they were good about it and are sending out the parts I need to swap on the transmission... They sent me a diesel version when I ordered the gasoline one.... Oh well. So they shipped out the bellhousing, input shaft, and retainer yesterday, supposed to be here Friday... I promise pictures coming soon! I have been switching between one computer and another and one phone for pictures and another... Plus the internet hasn't always been cooperative!

Haha... Sorry but I the big Magnum already has several thousand dollars into it ... Maybe when that wears out it will get a QSB8.1 or something like that...

See, that's what I was talking about techingeer. They don't deal much with the light duty nv4500's.

On the bright side, you have the larger main shaft that comes in the Cummins transmissions.

Yup. It is probably the NV4500HD but with no original tags I can't tell for sure.
