Default Ram is losing fuel economy since repairs

Hi. I have a 99 dodge ram 2500 cummins diesel.

I had the injector pump and fuel pump replaced just 2 weeks ago. I got the boschvp44 injection pump and the airdog raptor fuel pump.

Since install, fuel economy has dropped from 16.5 to as of now 14.7.

I am hearing that my injectors now will need tested or the timing is not right.

Prior to this my economy was sitting steady at 17 mpg.

Is it possible that the timing is not right since the injector pump was installed or some other issue?

I don't have any smoke and the truck rides ok maybe a little sluggish, truck idles fine. Doesn't appear to be any fuel in the oil.

I can almost see the fuel disappearing on the gauge

If you cant tell already i know very little about my truck but am keen to learn.

Thanks for any advice.

You might wanna post this in the Diesel section of this forum. Or look around on CumminsForum for help.
