Default Vacuum Canister?

Black plastic canister under the passenger side. Two lines run off towards the front. 1 is capped off in the engine compartment near the ac evaporater can. Its dripping water at the clamp once in a while. Does anyone know if this is an issue? Thanks

Grab/download the 2001 FSM from the link below. Section 25 or page 2824 Vapor canister or EVAP.

From the FSM.

Fuel tank pressure vents into the EVAP canisters.Fuel vapors are temporarily held in the canisters until they can be drawn into the intake manifold. The duty cycle EVAP canister purge solenoid allows the EVAP canisters to be purged at predetermined times and at certain engine operating conditions.

Make sure it's water and not gas thats dripping.

I suppose the problem is how is a liquid (gas) getting int there as opposed to vapors only....

I am NOT well verse in EVAP systems by any means. Only had one problem on step son's Taurus, and all I needed to do was replcae rotted hoses. If gas in in the system would the charcoal canister need replacing?
