47re drops out of gear while stopped!
My automatic transmission was rebuilt less than 10k ago. When I am sitting at a stop in drive foot on brake, sometime it will stop creeping for a second and then take hold at drive on. Sometimes, I put in neutral and then back into drive , it takes hold and drives and shifts normally. I had the transmission rebuilt as a carry in . I installed myself. This has been going on since the installation. Talked with the transmission shop about the problem. He tells me that it's a loose ground. Could this be caused by one of the solenoids being defective? Or could it be one the bands needs to be adjusted. Or a loose ground ?
Also sometimes it will try to start of in second gear and in then kill the engine. I kind of been trying to live with it by when I feel it start to drop out, I will wait a second for it to go back in before I push the throttle to move out.
This is a 98 3500 Cummins.
Thanks , Tom
